Pay For Tomorrow's Education at Today's Prices

Your child may be more interested in swinging at the playground then swinging into the future. So, it may be up to you, the parent to jump start their education. You can start paying for your child's education before they ever step into a classroom.

The Texas Tomorrow Fund allows you to set aside money for college now before rates increase in the future. Your rate is set the date you purchase the Texas Tomorrow Fund. In other words, you'll be paying today's prices for tomorrow's education.

You can pick from a variety of plans that will allow you to set aside money based on what you can afford. Then, when it's time for your child to go to college, the Texas Tomorrow Fund will apply the money to your bill at the student's university of choice.

Becky Hyde, with Student Business Services at Texas Tech explains. "The Texas Tomorrow fund does not cover books, room and board and class fees. The Texas Tomorrow Fund does cover all mandatory fees and all tuition."

When the student attends college, it will be up to them to notify the college that they want to use the funds for the appropriate semesters. Hyde reminds students, "The students need to come in at the beginning of the semester or term and show us their id card for Texas Tomorrow Fund, so we know they'll be using the funds for it." When graduation comes, your student can begin fulfilling his or dreams, instead of worrying how to pay back all those student loans.

To apply for the Texas Tomorrow Fund, there is a $50 registration fee and you must apply by May 24th. For more information you can call 1-800-445-GRAD or ( click here ) to download an application.
