Salinas Responds to Report About African American Peace Officers
Gilbert Salinas, candidate for Councilman District 2, said that he was appalled to find out that there were only 2 African American peace officers on the Lubbock Police Department.

The Lubbock City Council District Two incumbent now has an opponent.

Gilbert Salinas will formally announce his candidacy next Friday. The seat is currently held by Councilman Floyd Price.

Price announced earlier this week that he is seeking re-election.
