First and most important, he says don't be impatient and try too much too fast. That will only lead to injuries and burnout.
"It took a while to put the weight on. It will take a while to take the weight off." says Kelly.
He reminds us to make sure there is variety in your workout. By doing this you'll exercise different muscles and keep your brain from getting bored. Most importantly if you haven't done this already, find a fitness friend. Experts say that if you know someone is waiting for you at the gym, you're more likely to show up.
