The most prestigious accolade a high school vocalist or musician can achieve is to make the University Interscholastic League All-State band, choir or orchestra. Nine Lubbock ISD students recently attained that honor. In addition to months of preparation, the students compete in a series of auditions against other students from this area and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
The students will perform at the Texas Music Educators Association annual convention in San Antonio, February 13-16.
