The Sacramento Kings used their potent offense to run away from the Dallas Mavericks 108 - 91 and win the opener of their Western Conference semifinal match up. Peja Stojakovic led the Kings with 26. Vlade Divac added 18 points and 16 rebounds. Chris Webber scored 20 in three quarters of action, but he fouled out early in the fourth quarter.
Dirk Nowitski led the Mavs with 23 on 8-of-24 shooting. Mavs All-Star point guard Steve Nash struggled with just 12 points and four turnovers. Game 2 is on Monday night, also at the loudest arena in professional basketball, Sac-Town's Arco Arena.
