Police Car Shooter Sentenced to Prison Term

A Lubbock jury has sentenced Juan Zuniga to 30 years in prison.

The jury convicted Zuniga Wednesday, of aggravated assault of a public servant for an incident on September 15, 2006. Zuniga shot at a police cruiser at 59th and Utica, as the officer approached Zuniga and another man. At least nine shots were fired.

The officer was not hurt.
