Salinas Responds to Report About African American Peace Officers
Gilbert Salinas, candidate for Councilman District 2, said that he was appalled to find out that there were only 2 African American peace officers on the Lubbock Police Department.

Gilbert Salinas announced his candidacy Friday, for the Lubbock City Council seat in district two.

Salinas will face the incumbent, Councilman Floyd Price, who says he will seek re-election.

Salinas made his announcement at the library named after a former district two councilman, TJ Patterson.
