The Texas Rangers announced on Wednesday that righthander Chan Ho Park will be activated from the disabled list on Sunday and will start that day versus Detroit.
Park, who has been sidelined since April 2nd with a pulled right hamstring muscle, threw on the side on Wednesday with no problem. He threw 80 pitches in a simulated game on Monday. Park originally injured the hamstring in a spring training start on March 27th versus Minnesota and aggravated the injury in his opening night loss at Oakland on April 1st (5 IP, 9 H, 6 ER).
During his time on the DL, Hideki Irabu and Rob Bell have started in that spot. The Korean Society of Dallas is selling a special block of corner box tickets for Park's start on Sunday. For more information, you can call Jay Kim at (469) 688-6678.
