Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died Monday, January 21, of unknown causes.
Sgt. Joshua Michael Holt, 26, of Lubbock, Texas, was found at a location off-post by his Platoon Sergeant. Emergency Services were called and CPR was started with no response. Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin pronounced Holt dead at the scene.
Sergeant Holt entered the military August 2002 and was assigned to 115th Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, and 1st Cavalry Division as a M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer since July 2003.
Sergeant Joshua Holt's decorations and awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
The incident is under investigation.
