Lubbock Driver Seriously Injured in Afternoon Collision

One person is in serious condition after police say a driver failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign.

The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, at 19th and Vicksburg.

Police say the driver of a Nissan Altima, Staci Allen, 47, failed to yield the right of way to Ron Stevenson, 41, driving a Ford Ranger.

Allen was last reported to be undergoing surgery at Covenant Medical Center Wednesday afternoon.
