Lubbock Judge Grants Change of Venue in Capital Murder Trial

The Rosendo Rodriguez capital murder trial will be moved to Randall County.

Judge Jim Bob Darnell granted a change of venue request to move the trial out of Lubbock. Jury selection began earlier this week but attorneys have not been able to find an impartial jury.

Rodriguez is accused of murdering Summer Baldwin and her unborn child. Baldwin's body was found inside a suitcase at the Lubbock Landfill in 2005.
