Callie Long Pre-Trial Hearing To Begin Wednesday

Nearly three years after her original conviction, a former Lubbock realtor is scheduled to stand trial. Wednesday, a pre-trial hearing will get underway. 

In 2005, a jury convicted Callie Long of intoxicated manslaughter for the hit and run death of bicyclist Brett Walrath.

Last April, the Amarillo court of appeals reversed the guilty verdict saying long was not given a fair trial because jurors were not given the option of convicting her on the lesser charge of failure to stop and render aid.

Intoxication Manslaughter Conviction Overturned
She stands convicted of intoxication manslaughter, but Thursday NewsChannel 11 learned Callie Long has been granted a re-trial by the Amarillo Court of Appeals.
