A big surprise in east Lubbock for nearly a dozen drivers Wednesday morning.
Nine cars experienced blowouts as they crossed the railroad tracks around 7:30 a.m., at Southeast Drive and the East Loop 289.
Apparently, a train knocked part of the track loose early this morning.
It was repaired, but a few hours later a car drove over the track - hitting it just right that it knocked off part of the track.
Police say, the Plainsmen Switching Company, the company that maintains the track, says they will pay for the damage done to the vehicles.
