Lubbock Driver Crashes into Building

A Lubbock woman remains hospitalized after an accident in northwest Lubbock.

Police say Donna Jane Hindes, 69, lost control of her car around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, and crashed into the Big Lots store at 5402 4th Street.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to free her from the vehicle.

As of late Thursday afternoon, Hindes remains in critical condition at University Medical Center.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
