United Blood Services: "Giving is KOOL"

Diamonds are everyone's favorite Valentine's present. This makes February a great time for J. Keith's Jewelry, KOOL 98.1, and United Blood Services to have a little fun with diamonds and ice.

Imagine a 300 pound block of ice, provided by Arctic Glacier Premium Ice, sculpted into a giant heart with a diamond pendant frozen inside. Everyone who donates at the center at 48th and University will have an opportunity to guess how long it will take for the ice to thaw and release the necklace.

Donations and guesses can be made from Monday, February 4th through Wednesday the 13th.

Monday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Tuesday 11:00am - 7:00pm
Wednesday 9:00am - 5:30pm
Thursday 11:00am - 7:00pm
Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday 9:00am - 2:00pm

On February 13th, at 5:30 p.m., the ice sculpture will be removed from refrigeration and allowed to melt. The donor who has the closest guess will get to keep the heart shaped diamond pendant, donated by J. Keith's Jewelry.

Diamonds are forever but blood is almost always on short supply.

Call United Blood Services at (806) 741-1752 to make an appointment.
