Help Authorities Locate Roger Lee Mackey

NewsChannel 11 is on a mission to help put the South Plains' most wanted fugitives behind bars.

We introduced our partnership with local law enforcement last week. Several agencies joined us right here in the NewsChannel 11 studio to let you know that just one phone call can make a difference.

This time, Lubbock Police need your help to find a registered sex offender hiding on the South Plains.

Right now, police are looking for 32-year-old Roger Lee Mackey. Mackey is a registered sex offender. He was convicted of indecency with a child for sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl.

That conviction requires Mackey to let authorities know where he's living, but Lubbock Police say he lied. They say Mackey told them he lived in Lubbock, while actually staying in Brownfield.  Now, they don't know exactly where he is.

Recently, Mackey called police, saying he wanted to turn himself in, but he never showed up. Investigators believe he's still in the Lubbock area, though, and with your help, they can catch him.

If you can help police find Roger Lee Mackey, call the Lubbock Crime Line at (806) 741-1000, and remember Crime Line Tips can also lead to a reward.

Roger Mackey is on NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted Wall. Your tips can move him to our captured wall, and help clean up our streets one criminal at a time.

Remember all of NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted can be seen by (clicking here).

Have your friends out of town check it out as well, because we also have suspects that investigators say could be living outside of our area. Remember, one call can make the difference.
