Joint Funeral for Littlefield Teens Killed Tuesday

A joint funeral service will be held for two Littlefield teens killed in a Tuesday car accident.

The viewing for Charlie Brown, 18, and his cousin Crystal Brown, 16, will be Friday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.

A funeral service for both teens will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Littlefield.

The cousins were going to a basketball game in Lockney with two other friends Tuesday night, when Charlie lost control of his car near Hale Center. DPS troopers say he overcorrected, causing the car to slide into a ditch and roll over.

Charlie was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Crystal Brown died later at Covenant Medical Center.

Twins Kara and Tara Mitchell, 15, remain hospitalized in Plainview.

Two funds have been set up at the First United Bank in Littlefield to help Charlie and Crystal's families with funeral expenses.
