Slow cookers typically require little preparation and cook foods at lower temperatures for longer periods of time making it a convenient cooking method.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon paprika

Wad three pieces of aluminum foil into 3 to 4 inch balls, and place them in the bottom of the slow cooker. Rinse the chicken, inside and out, under cold running water. Pat dry with paper towels. Season the chicken with the salt, pepper and paprika, and place in the slow cooker on top of the crumbled aluminum foil.
Set the slow cooker to High for 1 hour, then turn down to Low for about 8 to 10 hours, or until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear.

Chicken "Osso Buco"
8 boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 1 lb.)
1/4 cup  flour
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 can  (14-1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained
2 Tbsp. Kraft Sun-Dried Tomato Dressing
1 tsp.  grated lemon peel
1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 cups  hot cooked rice

Coat chicken with flour. Place chicken and any remaining flour in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except rice; stir. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours). Stir chicken mixture to thicken sauce. Serve over the rice.

Easy Slow-Cooker Beef Stew  
1 cup fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup  Kraft Light Zesty Italian Reduced Fat Dressing
1/4 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
1 tsp.  dried oregano leaves
1 lb. boneless beef chuck for stew, cut into 1-1/4-inch cubes
1 lb.  red potatoes, quartered 4 large carrots, cut into 1-inch-thick slices
1 large  onion, cut into chunks
2 slices Oscar Mayer Bacon, chopped
3 Tbsp.  flour 3 Tbsp. water

Mix broth, dressing, barbecue sauce and oregano in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except flour and water; toss to coat. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours (or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours). Transfer meat and vegetables to serving bowl with slotted spoon; cover with foil. Set aside. Mix flour and water until well blended. Stir into juices in slow cooker; cover. Cook on HIGH for 15 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened. Spoon over meat and vegetables.

Slow Cooker BBQ Meatball Sandwiches  
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 pkg.  (1-1/4 oz.) onion soup mix
1 egg
1 small  onion, sliced, separated into rings
1 cup chopped red pepper
1/2 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
2 sandwich buns, split

Combine meat, dry soup mix and egg. Shape into 1-inch balls; place in slow cooker. Top with onions, peppers and barbecue sauce; cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours (or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours). Gently stir to evenly coat meatballs with the sauce. Place 1 bun half on each serving plate; top with 1/4 of the meatballs.

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops
8 pork chops
1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce

Spread a thin layer of barbeque sauce on the bottom of a slow cooker. Alternately layer pork chops with barbeque sauce, pouring the remainder of the bottle over the top of the final layer of chops. Cook on HIGH setting for 3 to 4 hours, or all day on LOW setting.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff  
2 lb. boneless beef for stew, cut into 1-inch cubes
10 oz.  mushrooms, halved
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove  garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
2 tsp.  paprika
1 tsp. salt
1 cup  Sour Cream
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp.  Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
1 pkg. (16 oz.) egg noodles, uncooked
2 Tbsp.  chopped fresh parsley

Place meat, mushrooms, onions and garlic in slow cooker. Add broth, paprika and salt. Cover with lid.  Cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 5 hours). Mix sour cream, flour and mustard. Add to meat mixture in slow cooker; stir until well blended. Cover and cook on LOW for 15 min. Meanwhile, cook noodles as directed on package. Drain noodles; place in serving bowl. Add meat mixture; mix lightly. Sprinkle with the parsley.

Slow Cooker Pineapple Pork
2 lb. boneless pork loin, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup  Kraft Honey Barbecue Sauce
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks in juice, undrained
3 Tbsp.  cornstarch
2 large green peppers, coarsely chopped
2 large  red peppers, coarsely chopped
6 cups hot cooked rice
1/4 cup  Planters Cocktail Peanuts, chopped

Place pork in slow cooker. Add barbecue sauce; mix well. Drain pineapple, reserving 1/4 cup of the juice. Add reserved juice to cornstarch; stir until well blended. Add to pork mixture; stir until well blended. Top with the pineapple chunks and peppers; cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 5 hours). Serve over hot rice. Sprinkle with the peanuts.

Slow Cooker Saucy Meatballs
1 pkg. (6 oz.) Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Turkey
1-1/2 lb.  lean ground beef
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup  water
2 cups sliced mushrooms
2 medium  green peppers, sliced (about 2 cups)
4 cups spaghetti sauce
1 pkg.  (1 lb.) spaghetti
1/3 cup Kraft 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese

Combine stuffing mix, meat, egg and water. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place in slow cooker; top with mushrooms, peppers and spaghetti sauce. Cover with lid. Cpok on LOW for 6 to 8 hours (or on for HIGH 3 to 4 hours). Cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain. Serve meatballs with sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with cheese.

Slow Cooker Veggie-Beef Soup with Okra
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian diced tomatoes, drained
1 (16 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup sliced fresh or frozen okra
2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon ketchup
salt and pepper to taste

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until beef is evenly brown and onion is tender. Drain grease.
In a slow cooker, mix the beef and onion, diced tomatoes, Italian diced tomatoes, vegetables, okra, potatoes, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Pour in enough water to cover.
Cover slow cooker, and cook 4 hours on Low.

Slow-Cooked Beef Ribs
4 lb. beef short ribs
1 large  onion, quartered
1 clove garlic, minced
3/4 cup  ketchup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup  firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Maxwell House Instant Coffee
1 tsp.  potato starch

Place ribs, onions and garlic in slow cooker. Combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, coffee granules and potato starch; pour over ingredients in slow cooker. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 5 hours). Remove ribs and onions from slow cooker; cover to keep warm. Skim and discard excess fat from sauce. Return ribs and onion to sauce; stir gently until evenly coated.

Slow-Cooked Chicken & Dumplings
1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken thighs
2-1/2 cups  fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
1-1/2 cups each chopped onions, celery and carrots
2 cups  frozen peas, thawed
1/2 cup (1/2 of 8-oz. tub) Philadelphia Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread
1 pkg.  (6 oz.) Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken
3/4 cup hot water
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Combine chicken, broth, onions, celery and carrots in slow cooker; cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH for 3-1/2 hours). Add peas and cream cheese spread; stir until well blended. Mix stuffing mix, water and eggs until well blended. Drop stuffing mixture, 2 heaping tablespoonfuls at a time, onto chicken mixture in slow cooker. Cook, covered, on HIGH 30 min. Gently turn over dumplings. Cook, covered, an additional 15 min.

Slow-Cooker BBQ Pork Sandwiches  
1 boneless pork shoulder (2 lb.)
3 onions, sliced, separated into rings
1/2 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
8 kaiser rolls, split
8 Kraft Singles

Place meat in slow cooker; top with onions and barbecue sauce. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours). Remove meat from slow cooker; cut off and discard excess fat. Chop meat into small pieces or shred with fork. Return to slow cooker; stir until evenly coated with sauce. Fill rolls with meat mixture and Singles just before serving.

Slow-Cooker Orange Chicken
1/2 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
1/4 cup  flour 1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup  orange marmalade
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp.  grated gingerroot
8 bone-in chicken thighs (3-1/2 lb.), skin removed

Stir barbecue sauce and flour in small bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Add all remaining ingredients except chicken; mix well. Pour sauce mixture evenly over chicken in slow cooker. (Do not stir.) Cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 3 to 5 hours. Serve chicken topped with the sauce.

Slow-Cooker Orange-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches 
1 boneless pork shoulder (3 lb.)
1 bottle  (18 oz.) Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
Juice from 1 medium orange
1/2 cup  Kraft Mayo Real Mayonnaise
12 sandwich rolls, split, toasted

Place meat in slow cooker; top with barbecue sauce and orange juice. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH for 4 to 6 hours). Remove meat from slow cooker; cut into small pieces or shred with fork. Return meat to slow cooker; stir until meat is evenly coated with the barbecue sauce mixture. Spread mayo onto cut sides of rolls. Fill rolls evenly with meat mixture.

Slow-Cooker Tex-Mex Chicken
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch-wide strips
2 Tbsp.  (1/2 of 1-1/4-oz. pkg.) Taco Bell Home Originals Taco Seasoning Mix
2 Tbsp. flour
1   each: green and red pepper, cut into 1-inch-wide strips
1 cup frozen corn
1-1/2 cups  Taco Bell Home Originals Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
1 cup Kraft Mexican Style Shredded Four Cheese

Toss chicken with seasoning and flour in slow cooker. Stir in all remaining ingredients except the shredded cheese; cover with lid. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours). Stir just before serving. Top with the shredded cheese.
