Two Car Collision Sends Five To The Hospital - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Five people were taken to the emergency room after two cars collided at FM 1585 and FM 179 around 1:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

DPS troopers say the vehicles involved were traveling westbound when the driver of a red SUV signaled she was going to make a left hand turn.

Troopers believe the driver of this truck grew impatient and attempted to pass a car driving directly behind the SUV causing him to crash into the side of the SUV.

Two Aerocare units were dispatched to the wreck. The driver of the SUV was flown to UMC with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck was flown to Covenant with serious injuries. Three children that were passengers in the SUV were taken by ambulance to UMC.
