Dead Body Found, Lubbock Police Investigate

Authorities are searching for answers after a dead body was discovered in a North Lubbock Park.

LubbockPolice tell NewsChannel 11 a family found the 45-year-old white man's dead body in a ravine near the 1100 Block of Cesar Chavez Drive around 4:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Right now Police do not believe foul play was involved in the man's death and believe the body had been there for less than 24 hours.

Authorities have identified the man but are not releasing his name until next of kin have been notified.
