Saturday, two of the area's top players were snagged by the Red Raiders including Coronado's quarterback Austin Zouzalik and Estacado's wide receiver Jeremy Watson.
The Mustangs quarterback finished with 3879 total yards and accounted for 40 of the Mustangs total touchdowns and will play wide receiver, a position he's never played. In the tradition of Robert Johnson, Eric Morris and Michael Crabtree, Zouzalik is going to use being a former quarterback to his advantage.
Jeremy Watson is the other part of the dynamic wide receiver duo that will become a Red Raider in the fall. The senior wide-out finished his season with 1339 yards and 21 touchdowns for the playoff bound Estacado Matadors and will now dawn the red and black with possibilities at cornerback, wide receiver and punt returner.
