Lubbock Police are investigating a stabbing in central Lubbock. Officers responded to the Cornerstone Court Retirement Center at 2101 Avenue Q around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim had apparently gone to the facility looking for help. Police found him in the parking lot, with an apparent stab wound. He told police that he was approached by a man who demanded cash. When he said he didn't have any, the suspect cut him in the torso with a box cutter.
The victim was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The suspect was reportedly a white man, about five feet eight inches tall, and about 160 pounds.
