The Lubbock City Council has an important decision to make on Thursday, whether to keep Red Light cameras up - or take them down.
Two opposing recommendations will be presented at the council meeting. One is from the state mandated committee that voted to take the cameras down, and one from the citizens traffic commission to keep them up.
The recommendations come after a six-month report revealed accidents at red light camera intersections have increased, and the cameras are not generating enough revenue.
