Lubbock Installs New Police Chief

Lubbock officially has a new police chief.

Dale Holton was approved at Thursday's city council meeting as the Lubbock Police Department's 19th chief.

City Manager, Lee Ann Dumbauld, recommended Holton for the position after Chief Claude Jones announced his retirement last week.

Friday is Jones' last official day on the force.
