Open almost six years and still clucking' toward perfection. Chicken Express at 4704 4th Street is a now a two-time Top Performer.

"Think outside the bun" as we head to our next repeat Top Performer. Taco Bell at 4928 50th Street wraps up another flawless health inspection.

And finally "when you're here you're family," but you don't have to offer to help clean up because the staff at Olive Garden at 5702 Slide Road has that perfected along with serving up hot and delicious food!

Here is a complete list of the restaurants and their violations for the week ending on 2/14/08.

Now to this week's schools inspections.

We begin at LISD's Project Intercept where inspectors found nothing but perfection.

Now, take a look at this list of elementary schools that made the grade:

  • Guadalupe
  • Iles
  • Frenship
  • Crestview
  • McWhorter
  • Wheatley
  • Williams
  • Wolffarth

Cavazos Middle School was also perfect this week, and Lubbock High School comes out on top with no critical violations.

Three schools had one critical violation.

A dirty can opener and a chipped knife were found at Mahon Elementary. Two chipped knives were also found at Wright Elementary. At Dunbar Middle School inspectors found dirty utensils with clean ones.

Inspectors cited Honey Elementary for two critical violations.

  • An employee put gloves on before washing their hands.
  • Various cans were dented.

According to the reports, all violations were corrected during the inspections.
