A time-line is in place now for the Alon USA refinery in Big Spring to be up and running again.
The refinery exploded just after 8:00 a.m. Monday. Investigators say it was caused by a leak of some sort. Four employees were injured in the blast, but are all expected to make full recoveries.
On Thursday, Alon USA spokesman, Jeff Morris, discussed the future of the plant.
"Our plans are to be back in the gasoline and diesel business here in just a few days, and the asphalt business a few days after that," he said. "We hope to have the plant up and running within less than two months."
The Big Spring refinery is a major supplier of gasoline and diesel to West Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.
