Another Reason to Quit Smoking

If you're looking another reason to quit smoking, here's one - you'll sleep better. 

That's the finding of a new study from Johns Hopkins University where researchers looked at the sleep patterns of 40 smokers and 40 non-smokers.

Kenneth Sassower, M.D., of Massachusetts General Hospital says, "What does it mean when smokers the effect of smoking on brain wave function, and it turns out when they looked at this group of smokers they actually had a lighter sleep pattern."

Researchers believe smokers may not sleep as well because they're actually going through  nicotine withdrawal while they sleep - often causing them to wake up or at least stay in a lighter sleep.
