In a few days, Lubbock will kick off a year's worth of festivities celebrating Lubbock's 100th birthday.
Over the next several months, you'll catch a glimpse of some of those special events, issues, and people that have defined a place we love to call home. So consider this, your first chance to be a part of this phenomenal celebration is this Sunday night.
Preparations are underway for what organizers promise will be one of biggest events this town has seen. And I would like to thank all of the volunteers, organizers, and sponsors that will prove, once again, that folks in Lubbock do it right.
So if you haven't done so already, get your $5 ticket to the opening ceremonies of Lubbock's Centennial Celebration, this Sunday, March 2nd at 7 p.m. at the City Bank Coliseum.
Not only will it be entertaining, you'll learn things you never knew about Lubbock. And who knows, it may just make you even prouder to live here!
