Lubbock County Elections Office Says Beat the Rush and Vote Early

Election day in Texas is next Tuesday, but election officials are encouraging voters to beat the rush and vote early.

"You don't know what your day or your schedule is going to be like and you pull into a polling place and think I am going to just run in here and vote real quick, but you walk in and there's a 20 minute or 30 minute line," said Dorothy Kennedy, Lubbock County Elections Administrator. "That may keep you from voting."

The last day of early voting is this Friday.
