Sudan Girls Lose in Title Game

#2 Sudan's bid for the Class 1A Division I State Title game came up short as they lost 48-43 to #1 Martin's Mill.

Sudan led 22-21 at the half in a nip and tuck game but ended up hitting only 16 of 56 shots from the floor as the Lady Mustangs held on for the 5 point win. Brittany Williams led the Nettes with 18 points while Jacey Davison was held to only 7.

Martin's Mill was led by future Texas Tech Lady Raider Jordan Barncastle's 18 and Taylor Daniel's 18. The Nettes were looking for their 5th State Championship, with their last coming in their last visit to Austin in 1995. Sudan finishes up 34-5.
