A $100,000 bond is set for John Kyle Lockard, 37. Lockard is charged with the murder of his grandfather R.K. Flippin, 95.

Police say Lockard shot Flippin in the head and neck Saturday morning, at their home in the 400 block of Vanda Avenue. Other family members in the house escaped and called 911. Lockard surrendered to police about an hour later.

Police are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
