A fresh face says he hopes to make a difference at Lubbock's City Hall.
"I think we need a little teamwork within the council. I think I am the guy to do that," said Tom Keisling. "I've run a business all my life, so I know what that means to be able to bring people together - to work together and improve our image to the citizens of Lubbock and work for them."
Keisling formally announced his candidacy at the Science Spectrum on Wednesday. He is the first person to file his paperwork for Lubbock City Council District Four.
Phyllis Jones currently holds that seat, and so far has not announced any plans to seek re-election.
