Failure to Yield Causes Collision in Northwest Lubbock

The jaws of life were called to an early morning accident Wednesday, after police say a young driver failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m., on West 4th at Vinetta. Police say a 1989 Chevy Citation was southbound, when the driver stop at the intersection and then pulled into traffic. That's where he struck a blue PT Cruiser.

Thomas Holder, age 17, and his passenger, Danielle Holder, age 20, suffered moderate injuries. The driver of the PT Cruiser and two children refused treatment.
