Shallowater Motorcyclist Injured in Northwest Lubbock Collision

A motorcyclist from Shallowater is hospitalized, after he ran into the back of a pickup Friday morning.

It happened just after 7:00 a.m., on U.S. 84, half a mile west of Milwaukee. DPS troopers tell NewsChannel 11 that Joshua Lee Herrera, 28, was eastbound, when he came up too fast behind the truck. As the truck slowed down, Herrera lost control and skidded on the pavement. He was not wearing a helmet, and was thrown from his bike. Aerocare flew him to University Medical Center with a broken arm, and a concussion.

Herrera was also cited for no license, no insurance, and no registration.
