Truck Driver Charged with Manslaughter in Fatal Crash

About the same time two brothers were being laid to rest Monday, Lubbock police arrested the truck driver accused of causing the crash that killed them.

Police say 26-year-old Eric Figueroa of California ran a stop sign last Monday at the intersection of I-27 and North Loop 289.

The truck slammed into a pickup killing brothers Terry and Marvin Goree of Lubbock.

Figueroa was arrested immediately upon his release from the hospital Monday afternoon. He is now charged with two counts of manslaughter.
