Lubbock Police Practice Swat Operations at Vacant Apartment Building

The Lubbock Police Department SWAT team stormed the Intern Apartments Wednesday, but not for the reasons you might think.

The Intern Apartments at 3rd and Indiana are now vacant. McDougal Properties has scheduled the site for demolition. The empty building provides a perfect training ground for SWAT officers to practice tactical training.

After the demolition, McDougal plans to build a new multifamily property.
