Two of Lubbock's leaders spent Wednesday in a wheelchair.

City Councilman Todd Klein and County Commissioner Patti Jones each learned what it means to have a disability as part of M.S. Awareness Week.

"So it was a real awareness for me on a personal level, and I like to think I went in there (Wednesday) being really appreciative of the challenge," Klein said.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society put on Wednesday's event.
