SUV Hits Southwest Lubbock Home

A Lubbock man remains behind bars Thursday evening, after he allegedly drove his SUV into two houses in southwest Lubbock late Wednesday night.

Police say Oscar Ray Ramirez, 22, of Lubbock left the road just after 11 p.m., and hit a house in the 5200 block of 90th Street, and he kept going until he also hit the house next door.

Ramirez was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Police say his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. They also cited him for failure to control speed, striking fixed objects and driving without insurance.
