City Needs Spring Break Volunteers for Love Thy Neighbor Program

The Love Thy Neighbor program needs your help!  Volunteers are needed to help with two clean ups scheduled next week during Spring Break.

The first clean up takes place on Monday, March 17 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Volunteers are needed to help workers from Adventurers in Mission (AIM), who will be removing and disposing of tree limbs, mattresses, and other debris from the exterior of a house.  City-Wide Pride will be providing drinks, courtesy of Coca-Cola.

The second clean up will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18.  Volunteers as well as workers from STAR Kids will be cleaning a vacant lot and its adjacent alley of dead trees and debris that were illegally dumped.

If you can help volunteer for either of these projects, please contact Tonya Brown at (806) 775-3284.

The Love Thy Neighbor program is a partnership between the City of Lubbock Codes Administration and Community Development departments.  The program aims to bring together neighbors from across Lubbock to help those in need.
