Wilson residents will be experiencing a planned water outage on Wednesday, March 19 while the City of Wilson replaces several main valves as a part of the city's water system improvement program.
Water service should be returned to residents in the afternoon or early evening of Wednesday with a boil water notice in effect at that time. The boil water notice will remain in effect until samples can be taken and the water is confirmed safe to drink.
Residents are urged to store extra water on Tuesday for their needs during the outage.
For more information, residents may contact City Hall at (806) 628-6221, or Joshua Isham, water superintendent, at (806) 759-1375.
