Whitmore Finalist For Another University's Top Position - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Outgoing Texas Tech President is a finalist for the President's job at another university. 

Jon Whitmore has been named one of three candidates for the top spot at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. According to a PSU press release, the new president will step into the position in late summer or early fall.

This announcement comes one day after Texas Tech formed a search committee to assist in selecting a new university president. Whitmore resigned last month, but will remain in the position for one year or until a replacement is found.
