Many dieters avoid restaurants because they can't count how many calories are in their meal, but a new web service is changing that. Billy Tookoian of San Francisco is co-founder of the website "The Smart Calorie." It lists the nutritional value for 50,000 meals served at 265 restaurants.
Tookian says, "You talk about obesity in the United States... this is one of the reasons why people are getting fat... it's because they don't know what they're putting inside their bodies."
So if you're on the go, you can punch your meal into your handheld device. The site will not only send you the nutritional value and recommended exercise, but it will also send a message when you've gone over the amount of calories you decide you need every day.
