Former Viking and Former Bill Become Texans

The Houston Texans signed free agent center Calvin Collins on Wednesday. Collins, a sixth round draft pick by the Falcons in 1997, played with the Minnesota Vikings last season. He started on the Atlanta team that played in the 1999 Super Bowl and has started 56 of his 64 NFL appearances.

The Texans also signed Craig Heimburger, who played for the Buffalo Bills last season. Heimburger, 6' 2" and 312 pounds, has played in 13 games during the past three seasons. Besides the Bills, he has also played for Cincinnati and spent time on Green Bay's practice squad.
