Drivers getting on to West Loop 289 Thursday morning were forced to take the long way around.
Around 11 a.m., an 18-wheeler apparently took the curve on the access road at 19th Street too fast and tipped on to its side and dumped its load.
It took emergency crews several minutes to rescue the driver. He was treated for moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, southbound traffic trying to get on Loop 289 was detoured behind Wayland, until everything could be cleared.
