Lack of sleep does more than just make a child grouchy; it can put them at risk of serious physical and mental disorders. That's according to two new studies published in The Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
One study found that the kids who got the least sleep had the highest amount of anxiety, depression and aggressive behavior. The other study found a connection between a lack of sleep and ADHD.
Both studies recommend parents tell their pediatrician about their child's sleep patterns because that could be a factor in health problems or behavior issues.
