Pudge and Bench Together in Texas

The only two catchers with 10 Gold Gloves and nine straight All-Star Game starts joined forces on Monday at the Ballpark in Arlington. Texas Rangers standout Ivan Rodriguez welcomed former Cincinnati great Johnny Bench. They were together when the Reds -- the only team Bench played for during his 17 year career (1967 - 1983) -- visited Texas for the first time.

There were plenty of friendly jabs before a pre-game ceremony during which Bench presented the player known as Pudge with his 2001 Gold Glove trophy. Rodriguez says that he grew up watching Bench catching, and there's nothing better than that guy.
