San Antonio Spurs guard Antonio Daniels is being accused of assaulting another player after an argument during a summer league game. No charges have been filed over Sunday's incident.
San Antonio Police are questioning witnesses amid reports that Adara Davis and Daniels had argued during the game. Davis, who does not play professional basketball, alleges Daniels choked him and he suffered neck bruises. However, KMOL television says that other witnesses reported that Davis had thrown a punch at the Spurs player.
On Monday, Daniels declined to discuss specifics with reporters, but said he'd never do anything to jeopardize his name, his situation, or the Spurs organization. The summer basketball league isn't affiliated with the NBA.
