There are new developments in the ongoing murder investigation of a Lubbock teen. Lubbock County investigators tell NewsChannel 11 that 21-year-old Leslie Evans is now in custody. We're told he turned himself to authorities this weekend in Detroit.
That's the same place where Evans' mother, 42-year-old Wand Wilson also surrendered. Both are charged in the murder of 17-year-old Bernard Wilson.
A passing motorist found Wilson's body in Yellow House Canyon back in December of 2005. Investigators allege six people beat and stabbed Wilson to death eight months prior to that in central Lubbock.
Last week, six warrants were issued. Just hours after a judge signed those papers, authorities had Carnell Littlejohn and Joe Ragan behind bars.
Investigators are still searching for 35-year-old Keyairra Brown, and 29-year-old Thamar Snyder. If you know where to find these suspects, please call the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office at (806) 775-1400.
