Texans Coach Likes Team's Work Ethic

Houston Texans coach Dom Capers found out during a two week mini-camp that his players have a good work ethic. What he still needs to see is their toughness. The camp wrapped up on Thursday in Houston and Capers thanked the players for their hard work. Now, he wants them to put on the pads. That won't come until July 20th when the Texans report for preseason workouts leading up their their first NFL season.

Tackle Tony Boselli and linebacker Gary Walker didn't participate in the mini-camp. Both are recooperating from surgery. Capers doesn't expect them to be ready at the start of preseason camp but is hopeful they'll be in the lineup by opening day. Also, on Thursday, the Texans waived linebacker Tyrone Jones, running back Frank Moreau, and long snapper Mitch Palmer. They also signed rookie free agent linebacker Tony Donald, and they welcomed fourth round pick running back Jonathan Wells of Ohio State.
