Frenship Students Will Soon Be Able To Earn College Credit

Frenship high school students will soon be attending a school within a school. School officials announced Monday the Early College High School Program will begin at Frenship High School for the 2008-2009 school year.

The program will allow eligible students to earn college credits while still in high school. Principal Gregory Hernandez says, "The dual credit courses that the early college high school students will be taking will be tuition free. There will never be a charge to the student that qualifies for the program."

Only 100 students will be accepted per school year. If you're interested in the program there will be two parent information meetings. The first one is Tuesday night at 5:30 at Terra Vista Middle School, and the other will be Thursday night at Frenship Middle School also at 5:30. The dual credit courses will be taught on the Frenship High School campus.
